ABOUT EASTS
The Eastern Suburbs Dragon Boat Club (Easts) is a friendly, inclusive club training on beautiful Sydney Harbour.
Our members range from social paddlers through to competitive racers, with opportunities to compete at Dragon Boats NSW regattas and other events throughout the year.
Easts runs regular training sessions each week, led by our team of four experienced coaches. Sessions combine fitness, technique, teamwork and plenty of variety, with individual guidance to help paddlers develop their skills and get the most from their time on the water.
And with Sydney Harbour as our training ground, it’s a pretty special way to start the day.
FITNESS, FUN & COMMUNITY
Dragon boating is a low-impact, full-body workout combining cardio, strength and endurance — and you don’t need to be super fit to get started.
Whether you’re already active or looking for a fun way to get moving, there’s a place for you at Easts.
It’s not just about training and racing. With weekend breakfasts and regular social events, Easts offers a great mix of fitness, teamwork, friendship and fun on beautiful Sydney Harbour.
Come and give it a go!
WHEN WE PADDLE
We meet at the Rose Bay Scout Hall, 8 Vickery Avenue, Rose Bay — right next door to Club Rose Bay — before heading down to the water for training.
New paddlers are encouraged to start with our Saturday sessions, where you’ll learn alongside other new paddlers and receive an introduction to the basics before joining the regular training program.
